AJ, a former substitute teacher, saw the challenges educators and students navigate daily. This firsthand experience propels his advocacy on the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools Board of Education. With expertise in job development and disabilities advocacy, AJ has played a crucial role in securing employment for high school students and adults with disabilities across Summit County. As a potential state representative, he pledges to remain an unwavering champion for policies that prioritize education, employment opportunities, and inclusivity.

AJ's leadership in Ohio HD-31 is marked by optimism and proactive engagement. On the school board, he opposed Ohio House Bill 616, advocating for community-centric policies. AJ prioritized inclusivity by supporting LGBTQIA+ students and condemned political interference in education, emphasizing his dedication to maintaining an unbiased educational process. His multifaceted approach underscores tireless efforts to create a positive, equitable community environment.

Building strong relationships with businesses and community members is one of the most important jobs of an elected official. As a board member, AJ strives to make himself available and accessible to his neighbors in Cuyahoga Falls and the Village of Silver Lake. As a member of the Superintendent’s Business Advisory Council, AJ meets monthly with local business and organization representatives to work on forming unique partnerships between the school district and the community.
